yespr (11613), Copenhagen O, Denmark Mar 4, 2008 33 cL bottle @Delirium in Brussels. Pours pale and clear yellow with a dense white head. Light spiced aroma with an underlying spelt/wheat like malt base. Creamy carbonated mouthfeel. Light wheat/spelt malt base with a light orange peel and minor coriander spice note. Ends with a nice caramel and spiced lingering finish and a mellow yeasty note and a honey like note. Jerre (1755), Waregem, Belgium Jul 29, 2007 Bottle, 33 cl.(bought @ Willems) Hazy golden color and big white head. Aroma flowery, a bit honey, yeast. Light to medium body. Taste citrus, sweet, yeast, hops, at the background sticky honeyish, a bit bitterness and little spices. Good.
But for me this is not a whitebeer. oberabcbbsok (686), Hoboken, Belgium May 15, 2007 Updated: Jul 18, 2007Name is L’Arduinna instead of larduinna. And it does not look like a white beer. And does not tast like it either. The label mentioned also Bière artisisanal d’Epeautre. A nice and fruity blond beer. A little sweet. Cann not find some bitterness
schuimkroaat (391), Leuven, Belgium Jul 19, 2006 33 cl bottle, ’bbe’ Apr 08. Brass colour and an olive green shine. Clear, a very transient head. Nose of honey plus a heavy flowery smell. Sourish taste, hints of lemon, sticky honeyish background. Light herbal spiciness, a dash of hops in the aftertaste. JorisPPattyn (5155), Antwerpen, Belgium Jan 11, 2005 Gushing to golden, slightly orange tinted beer; orangey, dense head. Wheaty (spelt-y) and very citrussy nose (lemon, orange, grapefruit), even a bit lactic (acid?). Soft taste, with a kroepoek-like flavour, not disagreable, howevr. Citrus (orange) and some perfumed Thai rice, and, of course, coriander. Also a bit of fresh ginger. Light bodied, but creamy-wheaty MF, flour in suspension. Not undeserving. Was spelt used by the Roman Gaul for beer? dhurtubise (568), Hamilton, Ontario, Canada Jul 2, 2003 Straw colored with thin white head. Nice simple belgium pale with some elusive spice notes and a nice tartness. The bitterness is on the high end.
