georgekappus (296), Brookfield, Connecticut, USA Apr 25, 2008 Bottle. Pours a light amber color with a frothy white head. Aroma was not appealing, kind of skunky with spices and slight sugar in the background. Taste was slightly sour and spices. A little too carbonated but refreshing. tomciccateri (496), Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA Apr 23, 2008 33cl brown bottle. Pours a very dense golod color with a thick lasting white head. Early spicy character, very effervescent, alcohol notes, and pale malt flavor. Early hop presence, big carbonated mouthfeel with late alcohol fin the inish. Defreni (994), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 18, 2008 Flaske. Bright white head recedes to skim surface. Candi and malt aromas. Bottle had a lot of carbonation, but beer is not overly so. Sweet malts upfront with a dry pepper finish. Goodgrief (1144), Middletown, Delaware, USA Apr 14, 2008 Pour was a dingy straw color with huge amount of suspended sediment, a huge head and decent lacing. The aroma was fruity like a trippel with some mild grassiness. The flavor smacked you upside the head with sweet fruit and honey, strong bold alcohol, enormous amounts of yeastiness, lots of peppery spices, some mild grassiness and a good bitter finish. Good level of carbonation. I really enjoyed this beer. Nice! SHIG (2012), Aviano, Italy Apr 10, 2008 Bottle: Poured a clear to golden with a huge white long lasting head. Aroma is orange peels, citrus, hoppy, and fruit. Taste is a sweet caramel with a nice hoppy tingle warm finish. AmEricanbrew (1747), Louisiana, USA Apr 9, 2008 Clear golden color with a fizzy head. Malty sweet cotton candy and and citrus aroma. A malt driven taste is sweet cotton candy with oranges and spicy yeast. Finish is lightly bitter. not too bad. 12117 kimcgolf (824), Dacula, Georgia, USA Apr 4, 2008 An interesting beer. Pours to a cloudy orange yellow, full of suspended yeast, and a thick white head that dissipates quickly to akay lacing. Aroma and flavor are a wild mix of citrus fruit, cotton candy and bubblegum, with a smooth, yet short finish.
For 10% alcohol, I never noticed any of it in either the nose or taste, but did provide a slight kick after finishing. Definitely different, but not bad.
