oh6gdx (8798), Vasa, Finland Jun 6, 2007 Bottled. Hazy pale orange colour, mediumsized white head. Very spicy and grassy aroma along with some fruits and caramel malts. Flavour is very similar, but sweeter than the aroma. Aftertaste is mainly grassy and yeasty. theisti (1640), Leawood, Kansas, USA Jun 4, 2007 Updated: Jun 5, 2007750 ml Corked Bottle graciously shared by Zinister. Pour is cloudy golden with a wonderful fruity earthy aroma. Taste is really nice, very spicy Saison flavor with a nice big alcohol profile. I had no idea this was 10% when I was drinking it, oh my goodness, so smooth. Thanks again Michael, you are a great Ratebeerian. Bottled. Gold colour with a thin white head. Aroma of tropical fruit and alcohol. Spicy alcohol flavour that is fairly straight forward. Light honey notes. Not particularly refined. So so. Stip (8), Zolder, Belgium does not count Jun 4, 2007 I’m drinking one at the moment, I went to a beerweekend last year an me and my entourage voted this beer as the best new beer of the year (i realise this beer is not that new, bu we had not tasted it before) pilsnerrogge (1770), Finspång, Sweden Jun 4, 2007 [75 cl corked bottle] Hazy, pale bronze colour. Huge, white head. Toffee and citrus aroma. Fruity, spicy, piney flavour. Goes down dangerously easy. Tmoney99 (4656), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA Jun 4, 2007 Bottle sample at Keg Liqour Fest of Ale. Pours a hazy orange hue with an large creamy white head that mostly lasted with fair lacing. Good sour citrus yeasty aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture. Medium well balanced spicy flavor with a good sweet finish of moderate duration. Good soft drinkable beer. KAggie97 (2406), Ugly, Hot, and Humid Spring, Texas, USA Jun 2, 2007 Corked bottle. Pours luscious and vivid cheddar orange, with nice carbonation, active yeast sediment, and a beautiful crowning head of white that leaves a beautiful latticework of lacing around the glass. Aroma is mixture of coriander and orange that leaves a zesty zing along the olfactory path. Nice raisin/honey blend initially on the tongue, followed by a faint floral hops note. Touches of yeast tingle the taste buds. Full, slimy mouthfeel that leaves a lingering note of sourness on the tongue. Definite repeat. Nuffield (2718), Roseville, Minnesota, USA May 30, 2007 Attractive white head, yellow body. Curious nose with a yeast note. The alcohol is in the aroma’s essence but not as much in the flavor, which is fruity (melon + lemon). A little astringent on the palate.
