I really think that this style is getting over done, or at the very least, the style should have some subcategories. This is not the same as the Ommegang I just had- two different beers entirely. Was pleasent enough, but not stellar. I will try again though.

Dark orange color, very cloudy appearance. Round sweet aroma. Flavour of overbaked bread, alcohol and hops, with some rather peculiar sweetness. Moderate bitter finish.

Though clear this bottle has thousands of little pieces of sediment rolling around in this a carbonated beer. Has some lager like aromas with belgian yeast and sour orange. Strong alcohol flavor with honey and orange. Rather bitter and a bit astringent. Kinda rough for my palate.

Hmmm. Good beer, but not as good as others in the same style. Tried it at the12 hour Belgian beer partyin Carlsbad, CA. Possibly the best beer tasting ever, with 70 bottled rare and expensive beers and 20 on draft. 7474,14:3.6 Tried again as a sample from alohaC at the Pizza Port bottle shop. A Belgian triple-ish. Some corriander in the aroma. Leans sweet. A little over carbonated. Mixed small and microbubbles. Delicious. 8,4,8,4,16:4.0 Tasted at 2008 Woodshop hosted by cquiroga. Light yellow. Medium head. Sweetish. Very nice.Aroma=8,Palate=3-4:4,Taste=8,Appear=2-3:3,Overall=18, 4.1

Very big lasting white head and lacing over top cloudy dark yellow beer. Sweet Belgian aroma of yeast and candy sugar. "Honey-like" texture and flavour. Strong sweet drinkable beer. Moderate spice finish. The alcohol, while not noticeable, stops you from drinking many more.

The Millennium. What am I missing here? Pretty, golden beer with some hoppy aroma. But I couldn’t find the hops in the beer itself; they were drowned in sweet honey then overwhelmed by alcohol. Dryness was welcome, but beery flavors were hiding from me.

Cloudy blond with quite some gunk from the bottle. Has an aroma of wet wood, musty and dry. Dry flavour that is overpowered by a strong flavour of alcohol. There’s a chemical smell and taste to this beer drawn mailny from the alcohol dominance.

Hazy bright orange-gold with a thick merangue-like cream coloured head that lasts forever! Very yeasty and fruity aroma, champagne-like mouthfeel with tickly fine carbonation. Sweet and acidic, bready and a little biscuity, some orange and pear fruit. Absolutely terrific!
