Malheur Millenium. Heavy malty aroma. Creamy white head. Excellent lacing. Cloudy light yellow body. Heavy bitter initial flavor.

Bottle. Wow I thought this was a very nice experience. Huge white fizzy head which mostly lasted. Body was slightly cloudy with light particles. Hue was yellowish with a light orange glow. Aroma was quit yeasty with notes of sweat, mule, fruit and flowers. Some malty notes in the sniff as well. Aroma is somewhat different in mouth, where especially a nice liquorice note comes into play. Medium to full bodied with a warming alcoholic texture and an average carbonation. Flavour is moderated sweet with some bitter notes to balance it. Finish is nice liquorice and long lasting. Great beer!

Draught at Akkurat. Pale gold, residual bubbles. Has got a beautiful malty richness and sweetness that complements the alcoholic bite. Perfect palate.

Huge, out-of-control white head. Sweet, fruity, malty aroma, with hints of yeast and a bit of spiciness. Flavors were decently sweet and fruity, but the alcohol was a bit overpowering and out-of balance. There was a nice, mouth-watering sugary quality that I really enjoyed. The hops created a very bitter aftertaste, and in conjunction with the alcohol, was a sharp contrast to the initial sweetness. Not too bad, definitely interesting, but probably not something I’ll go for in the future.

(750ml bottle, labeled Malheur Millennium, BB 26/01/07) Bottle opened with absolutely incredible pressurization that mimicked a gun shot causing heads to duck around the room. Pours a cloudy orange body with a medium-sized egg-white head. Aroma of citrus (lemon, lime, grapefruit), apricot and mustiness. Flavor of malt, spicy yeast, coriander, and hops with a soft, creamy mouthfeel.

Pours a pyrimidal white head on top of a slightly hazy blonde body. The head seems to take the exact reverse shape of the glass, I’ve not seen that before, strange. Hops appear first in the nose, followed by untamed alcohol, peaches and pears, juniper, bready malts( I keep noticing this in Malheur beers ). Flavor is hoppier still, and while the hops are on the mellow, pleasing side, they seem to linger throughout the taste. Other flavors noted are lemonade, molasses and honey, along with more soft citrus fruits. Palate is medium bodied, warming and luxurious. Finish fades ever so slowly until all I can taste is alcohol and resiny hop oils. Quite delicious, quite different, glad to have tried this one.

Small white head. Faintly hazy yellow body. Firm, harmonic sweetish aroma of tropical fruit with soft marzipan notes and a touch of alcohol. Taste is deep, sweet marzipan (and possibly chocolate) with notes of hops and something reminiscent of tobacco. Very smooth and harmonic, and quite bitter. Bitter, chalky aftertaste with strong hop notes. Very nice! (0.33l bottle.)

Bottle: Hazy blonde, light head and lacing. Nose of faint yeast and some tart zesty hop notes. The majority is the pilsner malt and citrusy anise and hop. The flavor is clean, nice and zesty. Clean belgian.
