Oct 17, 2005 Beautiful appearance. Nice corriander nose as well as flavor. This seems to be a BIG Tripel instead of a Belgian Strong Ale as described above and BIG it is. I’d say this is well drinkable but would be better and more flavors would be revealed if the alcohol flavor weren’t so upfront. I had a tough time picking up all the flavors due to the alcohol so this one is tough to describe in a lot of detail; nevertheless, I enjoyed the brew.

Oct 15, 2005 Bottle from Beers of Europe. Cloudy light orange with creamy white head. Great aroma of orange peel and apricot, yeast, toasty malt, spice, alcohol. Full body. Warming alcohol, spice and hop finish. Very good.

Oct 9, 2005 Pale yellow, thick creamy, rocky white head. Yeasty, sugary, slight almondy nose. Quite sugary in flavour as well with some candy-ish and lemony hints. Somewhat malty too.

Candy-like aroma with notes of spices, hops, fruits and alcohol.
Sweet candy-like flavour with notes of spices, hops and fruits.
Hoppy and alcoholic finish.

Sep 21, 2005 First of all, a big thanks to my aunt who sampled me this beer. Pours out in a really lively yellow appearence with a rocky white head. Sparkling, leafy flavours of honey, banana, herbs and vanilla. Finishes long. Fruits of apricots, banana and peaches is dominating. Surpringly well balanced bittersweet aftertaste. All in all, a nice beer.

Golden, big white foam. Sweet aroma of honey with strong notes of pepper and leaves. Peppery flavour of honey and green hops. Quite bitter leafy aftertaste.

Sep 7, 2005 Pours a hazy light orange color and makes a fluffy white head that lasts. Aroma smells a bit like a barnyard, very yeasty and hint of banana. Flavors starts with spicy, peppery bitterness and then turns to sweet bananas, clove and coriander, alcoholic bite in the closing. Mouthfeel is creamy and smooth with a medium palate, has dense carbonation and finishes dry. So far, I have enjoyed every offering from Brouwerij De Landtsheer that I have tried, this one especially.

Sep 3, 2005 Cloudy orange with a thick head. Yeasty aroma with some sweet malt. A lot of alcohol in the taste with a surprising dryness. A bit too fizzy at first, but I found this was a beer I appreciated more and more with every sip.
