First of all, a big thanks to my aunt who sampled me this beer. Pours out in a really lively yellow appearence with a rocky white head. Sparkling, leafy flavours of honey, banana, herbs and vanilla. Finishes long. Fruits of apricots, banana and peaches is dominating. Surpringly well balanced bittersweet aftertaste. All in all, a nice beer.

Golden, big white foam. Sweet aroma of honey with strong notes of pepper and leaves. Peppery flavour of honey and green hops. Quite bitter leafy aftertaste.

Rating # 1500. I carried this back all the way from Belgium, only to see it locally a few weeks later. Very much like a tripel. A big beer, but very easy to drink. Aroma has considerable yeast and fruit. It reminds me of Tripel Karmeliet. Flavor has salt, but also sweetness from sugar and fruit, and light spice. I do get a little coriander and just a hint of citrus. A very nice looking beer, with a cloudy gold color and tall white head. I am impressed by this brewery.

The champagne of beer. Pours with a huge, frothy, white head. Completely opaque yellow with some particles floating arond in it. Champagne, tangy, peeachy aroma with a hint of raisins. Taste is champagne like with some sourness at the end. Obvious alcohol content. Pretty fizzy and dry mouthfeel.

Bottle. Golden amber beer with a nice off-white head. Rustic, dusty, yeasty/hay aroma. Malty flavor with yeast, lemon/slight orange, and a bit of spice. Medium-plus body with a bit of creaminess. Slight alcohol presence. Lingering orange, yeast, dust. Decent complexity.

RBSG 05 Pours a hazy blonde color with a medium white head. Excellent aroma of yeast with fruits and spices. Excellent flavor of yeast, fruits, spices with a slightly alcoholic finish. The body is medium with a very smooth and confortable mouthfeel, the carbonation is forcefull wthout being fizzy and does a good job of carrying the flavor. Excellent beer.

Spicy, yeasty and fruity (grapefruits/citrus) aroma. Yellow, orange coloured, slightly clouded. Triple style. Taste is likewise the aroma; yeasty, spicy and fruity. Clean palate, perhaps a bit alcoholic; kinda nice in these cold days.

In short: A very hoppy and crisp Belgian blonde ale.
How: Bottle 750ml. Consumed when almost 1 year of age.
The look: Cloudy blonde body topped by a large persistent white head
In long: A pleasant noble hops nose with lots of dry grass. The body is crisp and a bit too slim. Crisp pale malts with a slightly honeyed crackers sensation. Strong dry grassy hops presence. Meringue, a little lemony. Alcohol is a little apparent from start to finish and that’s too bad. That’s a very clean brew. Gets better in the last third of the bottle when the fluffy yeast provides more body to cover up the alcohol. This is the only brew from the Malheur lineup that shares many characteristics with my personal favourite Malheur Brute but it lacks the depth and finesse of the Brute. I suspect that this is pretty much the same beer as the Malheur Brute except for the champagne yeast/process used for the Malheur Brute. This really is a classic Belgian strong blonde ale, Malheur is not an odd brewery, with their Malheur 4, 6, 8, 10 and 12 they are clearly an even brewery.

Courtesy of the BeanDip-s, thanks guys. It pours hazy gold with yeasty floaters and white head. The aroma is complex and melded with age. I get tartness, lemon, hay and yeast. Wow, yep, a wow type flavor. Lots of blended fruitiness from dark fruit and berries mixed with muted banana and mild hidden away lemon. It ends up somewhat sugary and slightly dusty. Very nice.
