The light smell of yeast, a little bit sweet, a rather light aroma for a beer with 10 % ABV. It has a rather small white creamy head with a normal duration. The body is cloudy and orange. The first taste is light bitter, then it gets a little bit more sour and fruity with a quite long duration. The body is medium, dry and fizzy with a lot of carbonation. That’s a nice Malheur... Pours a nice gold color, lightly hazy, with a white towering head that has been beaten to stiff peaks by the time it goes from the bottle to the glass. Aroma is lightly sweet and yeasty. Flavor is champagne and alcohol up front, with a yeastiness in the finish. Mouthfeel lingers on the back of the tongue. reakt (937), Greater London, England

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 1, 2002 Very effervescent, to the extent that it gets in the way of the flavor a bit. Alcohol is somewhat harsh, as is the bitter spiciness, almost like a spicy lemon rind or some such. There is a decent sweet malt flavor under there, but I think it might take a bit of aging before this could be a really well-rounded beer. MrWalker (927), Stockholm, Sweden

Extremely perfumed an soapy aroma, like at a womens hairdresser... A bit dusty saloon too. The alcohol is well hidden and it’s dangerously easy to drink. Plenty of CO2. However, the alcohol and some sweetness comes through in the aftertaste. JoeinUccle (911), Brussels, Belgium

But I couldn’t find the hops in the beer itself; they were drowned in sweet honey then overwhelmed by alcohol. Dryness was welcome, but beery flavors were hiding from me.
