An interesting beer. Pours to a cloudy orange yellow, full of suspended yeast, and a thick white head that dissipates quickly to akay lacing. Aroma and flavor are a wild mix of citrus fruit, cotton candy and bubblegum, with a smooth, yet short finish. For 10% alcohol, I never noticed any of it in either the nose or taste, but did provide a slight kick after finishing. Definitely different, but not bad.

Bottle from NYbeer, thanks Steven. Poured a clear golden-yellow color with rising bubbles and a thick, billowing white head that slowly diminished and left some spotty lacing. Aroma of soft citrus fruit (peach, apricot, tangerine), a bit of doughy yeast, and some light floral hops. Moderately sweet, crisp entry with some fruity undertones of citrus (orange, apricot, and lightly tart lemon) leads into a moderate doughy yeastiness paired with some moderately dry, floral hops with a light undertone of orange peel and a soft lingering honey finish. Moderate prickly carbonation that bites the palate. Overall, a solid beer that is pretty tasty, but there is a bit of an alcohol presence/off-flavor on the finish that distracts from the flavor a little.

Dry at first, then becomes sticky, creamy and overflowing with yeast. A ton of floral notes and grassy herbs. Fizzy, perfect carbonation. Aroma is sour and funky. Soft finish. Incredible billowy head.

THOUGHTS: I’m really behind on my rating. I had this one back on Leap Day. Not awful, but not one of the better Belgians I’ve had. A little too metallic for me. It was kind of like a more syrupy Duvel, but not quite as nice. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a hazy, light to medium yellow with a huge, white head that kept a thin sheet. The aroma was moderate yeast, white wine and fruit. The initial flavor was lightly to moderately sweet, moderately to heavily acidic and lightly bitter; while the finish was moderately sweet and heavily to harshly bitter with and average to long duration. It was fruity and yeasty then there was tons of metallic hop bitterness. The medium body was dry with fizzy carbonation and a metallic and light alcoholic finish.

Pours a hazy gold with a decent size off white head. Aroma of citrus, floral, candy sugar. Nice sweetness, but not overly sweet.

Bottle - Hazy orange/yellow color with a huge rocky white head. Citrus fruit and spice aroma. A zesty, yeasty fruity flavor. Excellent beer with perfect level of Carbonation.

strong carbonation with a golden triple like appearance. flavor has a sweet tangyness to it that finshes with a spicy alcoholic character. the final taste is a little dry and takes away from the overall experience because it lacks the depth. a good strong ale, but not top of the line
