It was a little more overpowering than some of the others i have had but it was decent in its own right. Glad i tried it, probably wont pay the money for it unless i can grab it on tap. Aroma of yeast, spices, orange and notes of apricot. The flavour is rather sweet with hops and coreander and some fruit. Medium to full bodied. Warm alcohol and hoppy, bitter finish. It’s very enjoyable. talon1117 (627), Bellvue, Colorado, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 19, 2007 BB 02-09. Pours a murky, honey color with plenty of sediment and a white, moderately full, rocky head; when it settles a mostly lasting, average, frothy head remains leaving nice, minimal lace. Nose is citrusy right out of the bottle; peaches fill the nose followed by lots of floral notes. Other notes include doughy yeast, clove, light pie crust, faint esters, and whisps of spicy alcohol; delicate but simple. Flavor is nice with excellent balance; citrus notes notes remain peachy but also become more like bitter orange zest notes, floral notes are still prominant with an almost herbal thyme note, yeast is still doughy, spice notes of clove and light pepper, and bitterness is noted but still moderately light. Palate is good with a medium to full body, soft to lively, and a rich creamy, almost oily, texture. Finishes long with a mild bitterness of bitter orange zest and light thyme notes and the creamy, yeasty notes remaining with some pie crust and warmth lingering. The more of this one I drank, the more I liked it. Excellent balance between hop notes and the yeasty, malty notes. One of the more simple golden BSA’s put very well put together and drinkable for the 10 ABV. BeerFanDan17 (625), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Jun 8, 2009 Yellowy beige body with tons of brown sand sized floaties everywhere, a large fluffy white head that had phenomenal retention caped off the brew, don’t know what it is but this color of the beer doesn’t look right. Aroma attacks your nose with a very intense and strong wheat and yeast combo the 10% alcohol was nowhere to be found. This aroma is way too sharp it’s making the brew a little to aggressive smelling for me. Flavor seems to start off very strong and bold but melts away to nothing in the finish. Lots of wheaty malts and hints of unknown spice comprise the flavor, seems a to be a touch sweet for my liking but not out of control. The alcohol can’t be tasted what is pretty good given the 10% however my stomach is getting a very warm feeling half way done the beer. It’s a tasty brew but the flavor is a little too sharp and intense for me I think there are way better beers in this style that I would much rather drink and I think the label looks horribly tacky. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 2, 2009 Sampled at a Mead, Cider, and Beer Tasting by Binny’s Beverage Depot in Glen Ellyn, IL. Poured to my wine/sampler glass a hazy, orangy straw color with a white, foamy head and clingy, web-like lacing. The aroma was light yeast, sweet white wine, apple and pear. The flavor added some smooth malt, sweetness, lurking alcohol warmth, lively carbonation, prickly mouthfeel and a dry finish. Very nice Slayer85 (585), Firenze, Italy
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jan 28, 2009 750 ml bottle. A cloudy light amber, deep golden beer with a huge and persistent white head. The aroma is nicely hoppy and malty with notes of pepper, citric fruits, grass and some fruitiness. Quite complex and lightly alcoholic aroma. The flavour is very sweet but harmonious, with a peppery spiciness and again citric fruits. There is also a light acidity. Medium to full body, lively carbonation, long finish with medium bitterness and not much alcohol. Nice and very drinkable for its strenght and at the same time enough warming.
