Floral sweet Belgian malty and dry aged hoppy aroma. Starts sweet with some nice Belgian yeasty character and a dry floral earthy finish, with some warming alcoholic complexity. A nice Belgian tripel. hopscotch (5504), Vero Beach, Florida, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 18, 2008 Bottle... Pours a hazy yellow with a huge, rocky, white head. Good retention. The fruity, yeasty aroma lends notes of bread, peach and mandarin orange with undertones of coriander or clove, cookie and fruitcake. Medium to full-bodied and lightly oily with gentle carbonation. Fruity, breadsy and a touch boozy. Medium to heavy honey sweetness; mild alcohol bite and bitterness. Lengthy, sweet, warming finish. Bov (5478), Bienne, Switzerland
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 11, 2002 pale orange colour, big creamy head and beautiful lace, deep complex aroma (orange, honey, spices, bread), smooth and very sweet, some bitterness, (too) strong alcohol presence, very long spicy, alcohol and raisins aftertaste - quite out of balance but should age well JorisPPattyn (5183), Antwerpen, Belgium
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 5, 2003 Hazy, honeyish colour. Very thick white head, rather regular. Going down lacey. Liqueurish nose, herbal, grassy hops, candi sugar, whiff of ureum. Taste is exaggerated liquorice. Some caramel malt and even burnt malt, despite the colour. Agressive, unhoppy bitterness, at odds with the nose. Yeasty too. Retronasal I seem to detect some coriandre, but faint - no other spices. Dry, very much so. Alcohol at last. Slick mouthfeel. Quite bland, less impressive than most of their beers. But not really undeserving. Could do with a nice hoppy boot in the backside. ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Mar 4, 2003 330 ml Bottle conditioned ale. Colour of wheat with a full head. Quite spiced and very yeasty, could be that the barmaid poured it a bit quick. Flowery and perfumed, could be the barmaid again. Just too much alcohol.
