Golden coloured. Classic golden Belgian strong ale aroma and flavour. Lots of fruits and some yeast.

75 cL. bottle. Best before 2003. Cloudy golden coloured with good curtains. Nice aroma. Hoppy and grassy with loads of pears. The flavour is bitter, mature, hoppy and dry and at the same time fresh and flowery. Notes of grass and hay as well. Long, hoppy aftertaste.

(33cl bottle) Hazy, golden coloured and effervescent hue with a big frothy white head. Yeasty, moderately sweet pale malty aroma with grassy and slightly flowery hops, accompanied by traces of alcohol. Sweet and balanced bitter flavour, full bodied with a pleasant carbonation. Malty base with a pleasantly strong hops-character and a shy lemon-fruity note; dry-ish bitter-sweet, still pretty hoppy finish with bearable coriander- and peppery spice. Truly nice. (26.IV.09).

Bottle, 75cl corked. (RBNAG 07) This time as Millennium 2000. Clear pour, except for some floaties, golden to straw color, with a huge, white head on top. Sweet and slighlty grainy aroma with a little alcohol. Malty (wheat?) flavor with a balancing fruityness, as well as alcohol. Quite effervescent and warming in the mouth. Nice, but the Malheur beers somehow fails to be as good as expected. Rating: 6-4-7-4-15-3.6. I’m leaving the old rating valid.

Bottled, 0.75ltr. Lightly hazy and golden beer with a small white head. The aroma is mostly hops and alcohol with some yeastiness. Flavor has maltyness and sugar too. Full body and a mellow bitter finish. (060328)

Sparkling honey beads floating on a milky alcohol pond...Yeast-tinged meringue over a pear and peach pie...Combining the qualities of many a Belgian style (funkiness, creativity, strength, nobility, rigor, heat) and thus making a very enjoyable evening sipper...

Bottled: Light golden coloured. Off white head. Huge and dense. Yeast, spices, fruit, alcahol in the nose. Fresh. Alcahol, fruit, yeast, spices and grapefruit in the flavour. Quite complex. Ends on a sharp alcaholnote with some light citric nuances.

Thanks to beastefan2k for sharing this during an impromptu tasting. Very pale golden beer with a thick white head. White pepper and a soft honeyish malt aroma over a nice banana estery sweetness. A bit of peach and a light alcoholic pepper note. Lean maltiness. The flavour is nice, herbal hop flavour on the finish with a nice bitter finish on the back. A nice juicy hoppy flavour on the back. Nice balance. A solid beer.

Bottle shared at RBSG 2005 thanks to EyeDrinkAle. Has a glowing, muky golden yellow body with a white hue and some floaties swirling around the glass. Very fresh tasting - I don’t think this is a 2000 vintage, rather just uses MM/2000 in the name - with some fluffy marshmallow flavors, along with some banana, peppery, spicy yeast and finishing with some floral flavors. A very well made beer, and something I was fortunate enough to try.

This pours a clear, very pale yellow body with lively carbonation and a dense, fizzy white head. It smells of sweet pale malts, hot spices, yeast, and a lemon twist. Very lively and peppery on the tongue. It’s a crisp Champagne-like drink with the malty sweetness retreating beneath the lemon and pepper flavors. A touch of funkiness makes it all that more interesting. Nice crisp & dry finish.
