Goodgrief (993), Middletown, Delaware, USA Apr 14, 2008 Pour was a dingy straw color with huge amount of suspended sediment, a huge head and decent lacing. The aroma was fruity like a trippel with some mild grassiness. The flavor smacked you upside the head with sweet fruit and honey, strong bold alcohol, enormous amounts of yeastiness, lots of peppery spices, some mild grassiness and a good bitter finish. Good level of carbonation. I really enjoyed this beer. Nice!
hopscotch (4379), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Jul 18, 2008 Bottle... Pours a hazy yellow with a huge, rocky, white head. Good retention. The fruity, yeasty aroma lends notes of bread, peach and mandarin orange with undertones of coriander or clove, cookie and fruitcake. Medium to full-bodied and lightly oily with gentle carbonation. Fruity, breadsy and a touch boozy. Medium to heavy honey sweetness; mild alcohol bite and bitterness. Lengthy, sweet, warming finish. (Rating #1814) NPRugby11 (51), New York, USA Jul 15, 2008 Starts out w/ a peachy, rosy scent. Has a heavy white foam that takes a while to dissipate. Has a very nice rosy/fruity taste and a bit of flower in the aftertaste. A very well done beer, and also the 10% alcohol makes it a lot stronger than what’s normally available ScoWRee (209), Phila, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 10, 2008 Pours a golden orange hazy color with a thin white head. Aorma is fruity and yeasty. Taste is a little alcoholy. Nice carbination hints of citrus and banana. A nice BSA Pompey (12), Longmont, Colorado, USA Jun 30, 2008 Lovely aroma of malt and fruit. Moderate tight lace, but not that carbonated. Wonderful mouth feel and the blast of peach and malt are really enjoyable. Sweet but not cloyingly so. Not too many spices, just fruit, malt, and some lingering sweetness. Long enjoyable finish. I like it. 330ml bottle, which seems to be a fine presentation. No sediment. Alcohol not discernible. Quite enjoyable medium body Tripel with a fruity malty finish. Not a complex Tripel. Just an easy drinker.
