Nov 1, 2008 Pours a hazy gold with a decent size off white head. Aroma of citrus, floral, candy sugar. Nice sweetness, but not overly sweet.

Apr 21, 2009 Gusher at The Penguin in freshly acquired £1 La Guillotine tulip. Ridiculous, uncontrollable Himalayan pour towering with froth. Superb enticing fresh hop and yeast aroma, suggesting marmalade, oak, houmous and lemon/lime jelly. Shit. Can you wring this kind of citrus out of Belgian hops?? Spruce, marmalade and pale nutty notes like a GA eisbock; big alcohol, but savoury flavours that make it irresistable. Little bit of warm. Really balanced, well-hopped, unsickly tripel/BSA it’s hard to pick fault with.

Jun 20, 2007 Very nice strong Belgian blonde, like Duvel with an extra kick. Deep golden to ruby body with a huge, slowly dissipating head. Some sweet malts, perhaps a bit too much (particularly as the beer warms), but a healthy dose of dry fruits, spice, and grassy hops. Good stuff.

Apr 15, 2009 bottle. cloudy yellow, giant white thick smooth head. citrus and faint spices in the aroma. Very delicate aroma, strong citrussy. also some yeast and perhaps wheat in the foundation.
flavor is honey, faint bitterness, citrus. flavor is much sweeter than aroma, but is well rounded. ends a bit dry?. probably hops.

Oct 17, 2007 Hazy orange with sediments and medium head. Sweet yeasty aroma with fruits. Flavor is malty, sweet, yeasty with corriander and apricot. Finishes of dry. Pleasant.

Jun 4, 2007 Updated: Jun 5, 2007750 ml Corked Bottle graciously shared by Zinister. Pour is cloudy golden with a wonderful fruity earthy aroma. Taste is really nice, very spicy Saison flavor with a nice big alcohol profile. I had no idea this was 10% when I was drinking it, oh my goodness, so smooth. Thanks again Michael, you are a great Ratebeerian.

Dec 24, 2007 Floral, fruity hop aromas. Hazy orange tinged gold color with small chunks. A rocky white head that tries to lace. Medium body with fluffy carbonation. Honeyed malt with lots of flavors: citrus, other fruit, herbs. A bit astringent despite a persistent sweetness. The finish is dryish and lightly hopped, but not excessively bitter. The alcohol is not really noticeable, and this drinks quite easily.
