Dec 24, 2007 Floral, fruity hop aromas. Hazy orange tinged gold color with small chunks. A rocky white head that tries to lace. Medium body with fluffy carbonation. Honeyed malt with lots of flavors: citrus, other fruit, herbs. A bit astringent despite a persistent sweetness. The finish is dryish and lightly hopped, but not excessively bitter. The alcohol is not really noticeable, and this drinks quite easily.

Oct 19, 2002 Nicely flavored, drinkable ale. Pours with a creamy head and an opaque, banana peel yellow color. Not as fragrant as some others (mine was past its ’best by’ date and probably lost alot of hoppiness). Sweet, juicy fruit taste w. very discernible alcohol presence. Notes of pears and vanilla. Finished crisply. Some mustiness which didn’t blend that well with the overall character of this beer, i.e. a hint of staleness.

Sep 16, 2007 Pours pale yellow with a generous sized white head. The aroma has white grapes and other light fruits, lots of yeast, very milky caramel flavors, sourdough and as much richness as cheesecake (but not the tastes). Medium / thin body that’s thinner than expected along with overly sharp carbonation. The taste starts over extra spicy with a bit of bread, booze, dry grapes and a touch of citrus. The finish is quite sharp and dry with bits of caramel. The flavor gets fruitier as it warms. A good beer, but not on the great level.

Nov 9, 2007 Sweet, pear-like notes, syrupy texture and unusually hoppy scent for the style. Tasty and comforting. Nicely done.

Aug 26, 2002 Updated: Mar 4, 2003Big Hoppy nose and taste with lots of alcohol to back it up. I didn't get a cool bottle as in the pic, but a little 11oz'er! I work nextdoor to the importer and am going to see if I can get more!

Mar 25, 2007 Very big lasting white head and lacing over top cloudy dark yellow beer. Sweet Belgian aroma of yeast and candy sugar. "Honey-like" texture and flavour. Strong sweet drinkable beer. Moderate spice finish. The alcohol, while not noticeable, stops you from drinking many more.

Jul 1, 2003 Golden colour, sweet middle and dry finish. Rich, complex belgian beer. A little young when I had it and lacked integration of it's flavours.
