Beyond that, grainy malt, floral, and spicy, peppery yeast. Very delicate plummy and dried apricot esters. Still has a decently strong wood cork aroma as it warms, but it’s not over powering. Well balanced flavor. Spicy peppery yeast, grainy malt, floral esters from alcohol, and a very light plum fruitiness. Finish is semi dry with a pleasant earthy hop aftertaste that lingers with the grainy malt. Lighter body, probably due to the very high level of carbonation. Very explosive m/f, smooth, and well hidden alcohol. A good beer, but a bit lacking in complexity for a 10% ABV beer. The hop flavors sort of take over the aftertaste and become a bit herbal and grassy, and I prefer fruity and malty. A good beer for me, but not a great one on my personal palate. It smells of sweet pale malts, hot spices, yeast, and a lemon twist. Very lively and peppery on the tongue. It’s a crisp Champagne-like drink with the malty sweetness retreating beneath the lemon and pepper flavors. A touch of funkiness makes it all that more interesting. Nice crisp & dry finish.

Firm, harmonic sweetish aroma of tropical fruit with soft marzipan notes and a touch of alcohol. Taste is deep, sweet marzipan (and possibly chocolate) with notes of hops and something reminiscent of tobacco. Very smooth and harmonic, and quite bitter. Bitter, chalky aftertaste with strong hop notes. Very nice! (0.33l bottle.)
