Opaque light orange colour; thick, creamy head considering how much alcohol this has; aroma shows orange, melon, alcohol, spice (thyme, mint, anise); firm body; yeasty, malty palate, dry from alcohol, more fruit (apricot, pear). I love the yeast-fruit interplay.

Slightly hazy golden color. Creamy, rocky lasting head. Tiny particles floating around. Aroma of sour yeast, doughy, spices, coriander, orange. Bit blond taste, not triple-like. Hoppy. Acidic palate.

Also very good, but not as great at the Malheu 12% (see rating). Sour dough-like nose. Hazy pale blond color and a lacy head. Juice-like tastes up front yielding to a fresh hoppiness in the end. Thinish, but a high quality beer.

Murky golden with a dollop of white foam on top.Nose is yeasty, slightly spicy with honey and grass dominating. Medium body with a herbal candy like flavor at the front. The herbal bitterness seems to fade in the middle, ending up with a sweet dry finish.

Sampled bottle, RBNAG 2007 in Grimstad. ABV was 10%. Pale golden colour, fluffy white head. Surprisingly moderate aroma, slightly spicy. Fruity and spicy flavour, pleasant to drink, the ABV is well hidden, well balanced.

Bottled. Golden beer with a consistent whispy head, the aroma is fermented and bitter, and the flavour is strong, bitter, dry and fermented slightly. Overall a reasonable Belgian effort.

Pours a bit on the cloudy side with a big sticky head. The aroma is phenols and fruit. A little melon and the fruitiness of a chile pepper. The flavor is sweet and not really backed up by enough bitterness.

Attractive white head, yellow body. Curious nose with a yeast note. The alcohol is in the aroma’s essence but not as much in the flavor, which is fruity (melon + lemon). A little astringent on the palate.
