Pours dark brown with a mostly reeding wispy tan head. Tastes of brown sugar, rum, banana, and bubble gum. Mouthfeel is full bodied and lightly alcoholic with lush carbonation.

Bottle, c&c. BBE 15.10.09 Dark ruby color with a frothy tan head. Aromas of dark fruit, darkish malt and maybe some hop florality. Medium plus body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is prune, date, candi and dark malt. No impact of heat. Seems a bit dusty. Finishes dry and slightly astringent. Very nice sipper.

Great ruby look. Fruity aroma, usual Belgian flavours but not as complex or full-on as the classic 12s.

Dark amber with a nominal head. Aroma is semi sweet with candy sugar malt and dried dark fruit. I love it when a beer tastes pretty close to the aroma. Toss in a tad of leather and tobacco and there ya go. $3.99 for a 330 ml.

Courtesy of keifdog. Pours amber with thin tan head. The aroma is dusty dark fruity esters of prunes, dates and nearing but not getting to a raisin quality. I also get some faint yeasty spice. The taste is very much the same with pleasing dark fruitiness moving into raisins then prunes, dates and figs then becoming brown sugar like with a hint of Belgian candi. The alcohol is there but not distracting at all. Nice stuff.

33cl bottle. Appears dark brown with a small beige brown head. Aroma’s of sugars, and burnt fruits, earthy and roasted. A bit of yeast in the mouthfeel also a bit of alcohol. Bitter on the swallow and balanced well in the aftertaste. Not really complex in aroma’s and 12% is a lot.
