En god del sødme, men det er svært at komme uden om i den type øl. Alt i alt ikke ringe. duff (5475), Surrey, Greater London, England

Some sweet caramel and chocolate are my first impressions of the aroma and also on the first sip. Palate is full bodied, sweet, and warming. Mouthfeel is very round and smooth, yet remains quite assertive. belgiumking (8), Ocala, Florida, USA does not count | 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 21, 2007 A world class beer. Perfectly complex and a wonderful beer for special occasions. Substitue for champagne. Great floral hop aroma and fantastic malt character. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 9, 2007 Far-reaching, heady hop snout with yoghurty chocolate, dark fruit, alcohol and roast. Sour, resinous and spicy. Cocoa, coriander and cinnamon. Berries, soap, liquorice and booze. Creamily headed and steadily fizzing. Hoppiest dark beer at this strength I’ve tasted. Sweet-sour and rootily savoury. Big fan of any beer at 12% I can sup geekishly without feeling like a tramp. Black chocolate brown with a creamy tan head. Complex and dangerous. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jun 17, 2007 Bottled. Very dark brown with a thick but collapsing brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of yeast, chocolate, and spices. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of chocolate, alcohol, malt, spices, and yeast, the spices include cinnamon and coriander. The alcohol tickles the tongue, the tickling lasts for a long time after swallowing.
