Sweet malt flavor, some yeast and alcohol taste. The alcohol compliments, rather than dominates. Very good, thick and heavy beer that is very much like an Abt. Grovlam (3810), Copenhagen, Denmark

Color was murky brown. Aroma was heavy malt with notes of bread, molasses, caramel, toffee, roasted. Some Belgian yeast is blending in. Maybe even some port wine like notes. Full bodied with an alcoholic texture and an average carbonation. Moderated sweet, with light notes of bitterness. Nice sweet and light burning finish. Great Strong Ale. SHIG (2037), Aviano, Italy

Aroma is fruity (plum and raisins), hops, coffee and malt. Taste has the same in a wineous blend - and what a perfect blend! Fruit, coffee and wineous are the keynotes that I would put to this beer. I have a new favourite! flemmingwillum (242), København S, Denmark

Malheur 12 is a red/brown coloured, unclear beer with a nice head but it fades rather quickly away. The aroma has a lot of cherries, yeast, fruits, among them also apples. The flavor is marked by hops, berries, pepper, liquorice root, a little alcohol. The aftertaste is very long with hops (the bottle says whole hops). Nice palate, a little creamy, but when I have in mind that it is a 12% ABV, it seems a little thin.
