Very dark brown. Tall head that laces the glass and never fades. Malty, fruity aroma. Sweet malt flavor, some yeast and alcohol taste. The alcohol compliments, rather than dominates. Very good, thick and heavy beer that is very much like an Abt.

Bottle. Another solid Malheur brew. Average creamy white head that mostly diminished. Color was murky brown. Aroma was heavy malt with notes of bread, molasses, caramel, toffee, roasted. Some Belgian yeast is blending in. Maybe even some port wine like notes. Full bodied with an alcoholic texture and an average carbonation. Moderated sweet, with light notes of bitterness. Nice sweet and light burning finish. Great Strong Ale.

Draught: Poured a dark brown with tan bubbly head. The aroma was floral and spice. Taste was sweet caramel and fruit.

Intens brownish color with a amazing offwhite froté head. Taste of malt, caramel, floral and spice. Very complex and full bodied. Amazingly balanced and nicely finished with a fruity touch.

Bottle.33cl. A sweet strong belgian ale, and it is one of the best, amber, rocky head, heavy cloying sweetness, medium bitterness.

Beautiful deep clear red brown body, huge beige head; Incredible nose, deep, balanced, fresh and beautiful, it has so many beautiful aromas and they fit together so well, it is actually a lot fresher then expected; Super elegant body, incredible balanced body, huge soft carbonation, soft textured, bitter and sweet, great; Fruity hoppy, sweet caramel, great aromas in long elegant super balanced body, bitter, sweet and incredible. Why didn’t I taste this beer before, it is simply amazing.

25 cL bottle. Pours deep brown/black with light brown head. Aroma is fruity (plum and raisins), hops, coffee and malt. Taste has the same in a wineous blend - and what a perfect blend! Fruit, coffee and wineous are the keynotes that I would put to this beer. I have a new favourite!

Bottle:

Malheur 12 is a red/brown coloured, unclear beer with a nice head but it fades rather quickly away. The aroma has a lot of cherries, yeast, fruits, among them also apples. The flavor is marked by hops, berries, pepper, liquorice root, a little alcohol. The aftertaste is very long with hops (the bottle says whole hops). Nice palate, a little creamy, but when I have in mind that it is a 12% ABV, it seems a little thin.
