Alcohol is very well hidden. Strong dark toffee note of caramelized sugar. Went well with grilled steaks. Thanks Chuck! Allen (1425), Switzerland

Aroma: Apricot, peach, elderflower and a lot of papaya accompanied by a lot of lemon, milk chocolate, dates and some caramel showing up. Deeply inviting. Not alcoholic at all actually. Flavor and palate: Great balance. Reminiscent of fruit salad with papaya being quite present. Very nice. Smooth. Warming finish with hints of caramel and fruit. Overall impression: Very good. An impressive belgian strong ale. Extremely fruity. The alcohol is very well hidden. jimmiec (66), Louisiana, USA

Fruity, sweet, caramel, Christmasey taste. A very elegant brew indeed which matches St B 12 and Westy 12. I could drink a lot of this! hirigalzkar (600), Stockholm, Sweden

It has kind of the same palate and body. Smooth and sweet. Sweet milk chocolate, hops, spices and licorice. finol (527), Nacka (Stockholm), Sweden

| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 24, 2009 This corked and caged bottled brew marked 2/08 lot 15 041 0830071 from a bottle shop poured a very large sized head of cascading beautiful foamy light brown colored very fine bubbles that were mostly lasting. Once it settled down, a very hazy body with a large amount of floating particulate in a very dark brown colored body was observed. There was a thick foamy lacing. The aroma was vinous with deep brown malty notes. The mouth feel was weakly tingly at the vinous start and at the finish with a stronger vinous note in the aftertaste. The deep dark malt flavor was laced with alcohol. A decent one that I would consider buying again. HighWine (167), , California, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Aug 13, 2009 Bottle. Dark brown with thick, creamy, off-whie head that stays around for a long time. Nose is more like a wine, brandy, or Armagnac. Surprising. I was expecting the nose to be sugar malt, but not at all. The taste is fruity and sweet...figs, dates, and brown sugar but not sickly. Slightly metallic taste.
