Very sweet (but not cloying), with dark fruits, chocolate and dark malts. Slightly alcoholic finish. Surprisingly drinkable for its strength. Tejas (702), Dallas, Texas, USA

Don’t know if I could handle a 750ml but it would be fun to try!!! Reddish brown color. A tiny layer of foam resided on top. Malty flavor but especially loaded with lots of chocolate flavor. Alcohol finish but not a harsh one. Thick oily mouthfeel. This is definitely a sipping beer and a good one at that. Pernille (518), Copenhagen, Denmark

It does, but it’s much stronger and more alcoholic. It’s actually almost too alcoholic. But wonderfully rich and ripe. norlem (8), Denmark does not count | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 16/20 | Oct 4, 2005 Malheur 12 is among the best of the non-trappist dark, strong ales. It is a very dark, muddy ale with an exceptionally powerful taste of dark malt and caramel. The aroma is a little too port-like to my taste, but the nicely balanced, spicy bitterness in the aftertaste compensates for this. tsp (113), Denmark
