Pleasant nose on this with some light candi sugar. Golden yellow clear with thin white foamy lacing head. Medium body with medium-high carbonation. Starts sweet with lots of candi sugar, mild carbonic acidity, a light chalky finiah with sweet after taste and underlying chalky bitter character. Bit of citrus in there, too. Nice ale. Sweet malty, slightly bready and yeasty aroma with spicy herbal and slightly floral hops. Moderately bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a pleasant, slightly crispy carbonation. Malt-accented base with herbal spice from the beginning; increasing bitterness by hops and yeasts towards the dry and quite lasting finish with a moderate alcoholic burn. Another good Malheur brew with present hops profile (26.IV.09). Ober (1232), Bommelerwaard, Netherlands
