Mallard Black & Ducker

Cask (gravity) Nottingham CAMRA Festival 2005. Duckling indeed, Ian, with blackberries. Or something chemically similar to that fruit. A classic example of how to take a good, solid beer and make it exceptionally average. Not the greatest quality of fruit flavour but I still though it was an OK bitter.

Cask gravity Notts BF 05. Haddonsman informs me that this is based on Duckling with some fruit thrown in. Well for me it was by far the worst beer I had at the festival. Pinky red with pink head. Slightly woody, bit soapy, bit chemiclly. Not sure what it is or what they thought they were trying to do. Poor
