Cask (gravity) at the Melton Mowbray CAMRA festival 2005. Been chasing this for sometime and it was worth the wait. Deep brown body, flavour like a subtle versionof those chocolate covered Scottish berries, sustained finish. Wish I could get this beer on a regular basis.

Bottle conditioned. Deep, dark chestnut colour, good off white head and good soft condition. Big chocolate powder aromas mingled with fruit notes. In the mouth the carbonation at first threatens to dominate but miraculously dissolves leaving chocolate flavours that seem to morph into coconut as it passes over your tongue and into the throat. Finish is fruity and long, with a roast barley dryness developing. At no point does the strength of the beer become apparent.
