Cherry aroma, cassis (blackcurrant). Very good taste: sweetness and perfumy hop, some fruitness. Not too much bitterness in the palate, but round malt. Very hazy, dark red ale with little to no head. The aroma is restrained and grainy, but also malty, fruity and vinous. Full-bodied with crisp carbonation. Sweet, but tangy. Fruity, but hearty and rich with chewy malts and dark fruits. Sweet, dark fruit finish. After one week of drinking and thinking about rare Italian beers, I’ve discovered that, like Americans, Italian brewers are all over the place nowadays. Deep chestnut, moderate buttery yellow head and gentle condition. Buttery sweet toffee and alcohol in the nose, Spirity in the mouth with more sweet caramel notes tailing off in the finish where a gentle balancing bitterness emerges.
