Very brown with a Caesar head, a line of lace. A nutty aroma. Fuller mouthfeel, carbonation is right there. A nutty sweet taste, with a tad of ginger, that leaves an aftertaste of wine. kp (8396), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 25, 2009 Hey! Overpriced Italian beer! Poured out a deep mahogany with a mid brown, bubbly cap with light, slippery fading lacing and lots of sediment. The aroma is quite varied and interesting: raw mixed nuts, those dehydrated orange fruit cubes in some trail mixes, well placed ginger, slight pineapple, good roasted malts, weak alcohol, decent spice, burnt and almost peaty. Lots of roasted malts, seafood???? earth, bitter, some fruit, lots of nuts, not really almond though, more roast, slight spice. Zippy, solid mouth feel with a long bitter and robust finish. zach8270 (2103), Henrietta, New York, USA

Aroma is very bitter and complex, with a lot of fruits and malts and a very unusual bitterness. Flavor is much the same. A tart and tangy bitter flavor with some sweetness and malts. Finishes with that unusual bitterness. Almost tastes like ginger mixed with a lot of hops. Cirrhosis (619), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 16, 2009 "Dark blackish brown with a short lives brown crown, tons of crud poured out of the bottle on the second pour. Aroma is very faint but yummy, nuts, apple, and very mild alcohol. Taste is also yummy but mild. Malty with elements of hazelnuts. Beer finishes very mildly bitter and leaves behind a after taste like a Worthers Original (hard caramel candy). More I drink the more I can taste oak or sometimes this turns in to a red wine like taste. Very Dry but also soft, actually soft is the perfect description of the beer the aroma taste and feel all come across soft and subtle. On my last few sips the taste of dirt and ginger are starting to appear. Not a bad brew nothing special, but worth a try. Thanks Jeff!!!"
