Commercial Description:
Cask; Regular. .
NOTE: Following the closure of Malton brewery in 2004, all Suddabys branded beers have been contract brewed at Hambleton, Brown Cow or Cropton. However it is unclear which beers are currently brewed where.
A full bodied, medium hopped bitter with fruity yet bitter finish.

Crown & Thistle, Gravesend. Indifferent condition, edging into poor. In this condition the beer comes over as a citric fresh session bitter but it is struggling to perform. This used to be a great pub for beer quality, but hasn’t been any good for some time. Default score.

[Cask conditioned] Amber coloured. A very strange bitter. Slightly sour and dusty. Notes of cobwebs.

Cask@The Market Porter, London. Nothing special here, malty/bready/grainy. Citric hops. Cask character, a bit boring, but OK.

Named after a Grand National winning horse that was trained in Malton. There is a rather disarming sweaty sock accent in the aroma, but, thankfully, that doesn't carry through onto the palate. Otherwise this is a decent but dull session bitter, with plenty of bite but no noticeable malt. Pale amber colour. Cask (gravity), Battersea Beer festival.
