| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 30, 2009 22 ounce bottle from Nugget in Davis, CA. Aroma is a pungent roasted coffee one. There is is a little sweet chocolate thing going on as well as some chalk dust smells. I really can’t get past the chalk smell. Virtually transparent dark brown/mahogany body with a fluffy tan head. Has a nice sweet, chocolate flavor to start, which becomes a bit metallic and toasted/roasted in the middle. Lightly bitter to finish. Drinks pretty well. Still can’t figure out the chalkiness in the nose. Thankfully, it’s not in the flavor. Beerman6686 (1282), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA
