Bottle and on tap in Mammoth Lakes for the Beer and Bluesapalooza fest last weekend. I’m drinking one now and it has a different label and is called Epic IPA. Amber orange, small lingering head. Straw and oily hop aroma, but not too strong. Relatively smooth and easy drinking IPA with slight hop oil resin, citrus, honey and soapy flavors, but nothing too strong or bad. All in all not a big rough IPA but flavorful.

Bottle, courtesy of bu11zeye. The pour reveals a clear orange color with a thin white head. The aroma is appealing, the hops have a resinous, citrusy quality and some malt is also present. The flavor also has the citrusy, resinous hops and malt but it suffers from the lack of carbonation, it feels flat and that’s too bad since this IPA has a lot of potentieal.

I remember a long time ago this tasted pretty good. Not any longer. Below avg IPA - light, watery, no kick to it and nothing special. Go there for the mountain, not the beer.

Clear deep orange body. Quickly, fully diminishing white head. What bubbles remain appear almost clear. Very average looking. Light to medium intensity aroma. Hops first that seem like they were manually and sparingly placed throughout. A subtle and balanced mix of grassiness and citrus, pine and malt follow. The malt smells sweet, plentiful. Mild and nice enough aroma. Flavor is pretty toasty. Definitely a letdown overall. Far too little bittering hoppiness. Malt is barely adequate. Finishes soft, smooth and off dry. Palate does invite the next sip, unfortunately the flavor wards away any inclination to do so. Boring.

Pours a golden orange with almost no head. Smells more malty than hoppy to me, but the hops were present in the back. A little bready yeast as well. Taste had extremely light carbonation and tasted pretty old. Light hops were present throughout with a touch of grapefruit. This beer didnt seem to have much life to it. Maybe its supposed to be that way, but not what I was looking for.

(12oz bottle) Small off-white head atop crystal clear amber body. Aroma is moderately sweet, pineapple, orange -- quite pungent bitterness. Taste is medium sweet, mango, some pineapple, grapefruit. Undercarbonated medium body, with some resin. A very fruity beer.

12oz bottle via trade with bu11zeye. Aroma: Light aroma, but smells fresh. Pine, light resin and floral. Touch of caramel. Appearance: Medium amber in color and clear. Off-white head was full and foamy with good retention. Nice lacing. Flavor: Some light caramel and cracker flavors up front. Hop flavor is nice, but seems a little low for the style. Pine, citrus, resin, floral, and grass into the finish. Light bitterness. Medium-dry finish. Palate: Medium-light bodied. Medium carbonation. Overall: There was nothing wrong with this beer, there just wasn’t enough to it. It was quite drinkable, but was hoping for more.
