Light malty, husky biscuit. A bit so-so and light and watery. Some vauge notes, but I wouldn’t buy it again. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA

Light, faintly hazy gold, huge bubble action, moderately lasting off-white head....nice solid malty nose, bit of dry caramel and citrus and a soft grassy foundation...soft, creamy, dryish mouthfeel, malty sweetness increases towards the end which seems to have hints of maple and light banana perhaps...very solid, pleasant kolsch that isn’t mindblowing but almost compulsively drinkable. bhensonb (4284), Woodland, California, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Feb 7, 2008 Bottle. Very light citrus aroma. Thin to medium body with mild carbonation. Flavor is light malt and mild citrus and grassy hop. The finish is actually grassy in a dry way. It’s mild, but flavorful. The grassiness gets a bit over the edge, but it is flavorful. I doubt that Mammoth can make an unpleasant product. The grassiness makes this a substantial, compared to most Kolsches, ale. Very drinkable. PorterPounder (3138), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 1, 2007 Aroma is slightly sweet bready malt, similar to a pilsner more or less. Pours yellow gold with a small velvetty head. Flavor is sweet bready and mildly fruity malt. There is some citrus hop presence, but it is mild. A malty sugary mouthfeel lingers, as well as some gentle spiciness. Definitley smooth and drinkable, but like the last rater said, it does seem a little heavy for the style. Definitley the heaviest beer I have had tonight. dwyerpg (2537), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
