Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of JohnC. Pours a clear reddish brown with an off-white head. Sweet caramel aroma with some nice aroma hops. Solid body, lots of burned caramel and a little licorice. Some hops in the finish. Really comes out more like an American style Barley Wine. Very delicious. 231109

Bottle compliments of daleharshman. Poured a nutty brown color with small active carbonation with some floating debris present. Aroma of sweet fruits, nuts, and a hint of oak. Taste was malty and roasty. Medium to full carbonation. As Dale said the alcohol was well hidden and could be more complex. I did enjoy this though and so did some friends.

Bomber purchased at brewery while on a mountain biking trip to Mammoth. Pours a dark brown bordering on black, with ruby-brown highlights. The relatively small beige head quickly recedes to only a very thin layer. Altogether it’s Pepsi-like in appearance. Earthy aroma of roasted peaty malts, chocolate, nuts, vanilla, and light coffee. Flavor of roasted malts, caramel without much sweetness, dark chocolate, light coffee. Rather thin mouthfeel with a dry finish. The 10% ABV is completely hidden. Good, but could use more complexity.

Pours a deep brown hue with a fine tan head. Aromas of caramel, straw, and a touch of dark fruit. Mouth feel is full on contact but finishes a much thinner. Flavors of much of the same as the aroma, but dry and hints of leather. Not much depth for the style. Extremely easy to drink for the alcohol content.

Bottle shared on 10/25/08 by hopdog: Pours a hazy dark copper mahogany with a stringy, spotty-lacing off-white head. Aroma of toasty earthy green hops and grainy caramel malt. Body starts with good fullness and dark sweet caramely malt with some earthy peppery bitterness. A decent barleywine, but needs some time to age.

Bottle thanks to AmEricanbrew. The smell is malty, roasty, chocolate, and slight roasty. The look is reddish in color with a decent beiged colored head. The taste is some hops, ok bitterness, malts, and caramel.
