cloudy orange, fine white head, scattered lace,
aroma is a mixture of the orange slice the bartender insisted was needed plus some hops coming through,
nicely hopped wheat malt flavor, touch of fruityness, nice balancing bitterness,
the extra hops turn this from a hefe to a wheat pale ale

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Aug 28, 2007 Tap @ Manayunk. Fairly hazy yellow with a white head and slice of orange. The aroma was hoppy with orange and earthy notes sitting on top of malt. The flavor was citrusy of grapefruit and wheaty character. Nice stiff long lasting bitterness on the finish. Definite citrus elements. Not much wheat or yeast present, not unlike other American wheats I’ve tried. However, I found this very good overall. hopdog (5614), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Aug 30, 2004 On tap at the Manayunk Brew Pub. They served this one with a slice of lemon on the side of the glass (that was quickly placed far away from the beer). Poured a medium hazy yellow color with a white head. Nice citris aroma with very light hints wheat. Piney tastes. I liked this one. argo0 (6985), Washington DC, USA

It tastes like a lager-amber mix. No yeasty, wheat taste. I was looking forward to a good hefe on that hot day at Stoudts. obxdude10 (1563), Pottstown, Pennsylvania, USA
| 1.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 6/20 | Jun 14, 2004 Not a good beer at all, the appearance was alright with a hazy & slightly cloudy gold color, the nose was a bit sour which led to the awlful flavors, way off base, very little wheat qualities at all

And the taste mirrored the aroma exactly. No esters could be found anywhere in this beer. However this was awesome, and I had many of these last night.
