Commercial Description:
By unanimous decision, this is the best Holiday Beer you’ll ever have. While the pine and spruce tickle the tongue under the proverbial tree of maltiness, wrapped within is the perfect blend of pine, spruce, nutmeg, juniper berries, cinnamon, pumpkin, orange and lots of whole vanilla beans (no sugarplums) dance from your head to the palette. The Festivus Ale is the ideal accompaniment to the creation of your shopping or wish list, this lightly spiced ale is sure to inspire even the incessant scrooge. Happy Holidays and the best of tidings from the brewers of Manayunk.

This beer confused the shit out of me. Weird non-Belgian flavors blending with DMS and oxidization. Something went wrong, and the end product is not good at all.

Pours a translucent amber with a smaller bubbly white head. Aroma of pine, vanilla and some other spices. Flavor of the same getting root beer?

Dark brown with thin white head. Spruce evident in aroma and again in the taste, which had the essence of a pumpkin beer with all the spices that typically entails.

I’m not sure what it is about me and holiday beers, but it seems like I rate them higher than average typically. This one pours deep copper with a creamy, white head. Aroma of malt, hops, spice. Tastes spicy (nutmeg and cinnamon) malty, with a dense, firm palate, and finishing blasts of pumpkin, berries, and more nutmeg. Solid ruby color. This one is an elite holiday ale.

On tap at the Manayunk Brew Pub. Poured a dark, dark red color with a small off white head. Aromas and tastes of pine, spruce, cinnamon and spices. Light vanilla in the tastes as well.
