Commercial Description:
Imperial, or super IPA’s were spawned out of the fascination of hops by the American consumer and are beyond Pale Ales and IPA’s in terms of both hop and alcohol content. Our interpretation is orange-gold in color, lightly bitter but highly hoppy with a firm malt backbone. We’ll gladly put this head-to-head with the best that those California Hophead/Brewers have to offer. 8.0 % ABV, 65 IBUs

Clear light amber with off-white head, leaving lovely circular lacing. Aroma is medium sweet, grapefruit, some floral, light caramel. Taste is medium sweet , grapefruit (fairly intense), caramel malty. Medium body, resiny, hides the alcohol well.

On tap at the Manayunk Brew Pub. Poured a medium amber color with an averaged sized white head. Nice hoppy aroma and tastes - citris and flowers. Has a nice sweet balance to the bitter finish. Very good beer that I would definitely get again - the best I had there today.

on tap-pours a light tan head and gold color. Aroma is sweet citrus/lemon hops. Taste is sweet citrus/lemon hops-some bitter, some medium malt, slick, slight alcohol. OK/mild carbonation.

A top notch IPA. Copper colored, with big hop nose. Hops and fruit in the taste, with some resiny finishing notes and even some floral sweetness. Marvelous.

Advance sample from the brewer, thanks Bill! Poured a golden color with a large white head and nice lacing on the glass. Strong citrus hop aroma. Bitter citrus (grapefruit) hop taste. Very enjoyable, this goes on tap tomorrow!
