Quack-Duck (2202), Bodensee, Germany Sep 1, 2008 bottle from Costcutter Newton Abbot. Clear brown colour, mid-sized head. Malty nose. Light, flavours of malst (Bayerisch Blockmalz), roasted malt and caramel with some hints of fudge, toffee and licquorice. Very slightly hoppy. Good.
mike1977ok (445), Netherlands Jan 6, 2009 Deep, dark brown colour. Roasted malt aroma. Rather sweet, malty flavour. Quite full flavoured for a low alcohol beer but overall a tad too sweet. AsaNewt (113), blackpool, Lancashire, England Nov 20, 2008 dark and black with almost marmite on the nose. golden syrup and honey sweet. lovely dark notes throughout. albertane (344), Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England Sep 27, 2008 Surprisingly tasty for its strength, Mann’s is malty with strong caramel flavours and a hint of chocolate. It’s nicely sweet and rather pleasant to drink. Beth101 (186), West Yorkshire, England Aug 4, 2008 Looks like coke. No head and smells of sweet malt and tastes of malt. Its flat in appearance and flat in taste but the flavour wasn’t too bad but still ended up pouring it down the sink.
