Pint pulled at JDW The Railway in Putney (London), amber with a large foamy off-white head. A sweet malt aroma. A strong biscuity malt flavour that also shows hints that are earthy and tobaccoey, with a bitterness that is a bit off.

Cask conditioned - handpump - JDW Northampton. An amber coloured beer with a red hint and a thin off-white head. The aroma is malty and dry and a little sulphuric. The taste is also dry with sulphuric hints. The malt notes are pretty decent. Nothing special but above average for this very poor brewery.

Cask at Wetherspoons, Milton Keynes. A bit on the chilly side. Amber with a small white head. Predominantly malty, though there was some sourness. Slight bitterness. Didn’t make a strong impression.

Cask gravity at George, Bethersden. Badged as Wadworth. Amber with lasting beige creamy head. Herby earthy hop, slighty yeasty. Hey, it’s an English bitter. Some good hedgerow fruit. I would miss this type of beer though if I couldn’t have it again. Re-rate. County Hotel, JDW, Ashford. Definitely tasted of dry roasted peanuts. Lovely though.

Cask @ JDW, Newington Causeway. Copper colour with thick white head. Aroma of malt with hop undertones. Taste of nuts and orange. Hoppy finish. Well balanced.

A Sim rate (Cask at Planet Thanet): Smells hoppy but otherwise nondescript. Malty orange peel flavour. Golden colour.

Cask conditioned @ Humble Plumb, Soton. Strawy hops with a hint of sulphury yeast. Biscuity malts with low level of caramelly flavour which contributes nicely. Not great but perfectly drinkable. Hops become more pronounced on the lasting finish with some zesty acidity.
