Slightly opaque, amber-red appearance. No aroma. Watery viscosity. Very slight malts and no hops. Disliked.
hopdog (4950), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 7, 2008 12oz bottle. A little bit of a gusher (just a little). Poured a medium and hazy orangish color with a large sized off white head. Aromas of toasted grains, caramel, and some wet grass. Watery tastes of caramel and grains. Thin and watery body. Some lacing left on the glass. Ughsmash (3148), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Jul 27, 2008 Bottled, thanks to Bob! Gushed out of the bottle, but settled nicely into the glass.. mostly clear medium orange with a moderate cap of well-retained off-white head. The aroma picked up toasty caramel and and lighter fruits surrounded by light floral and piney hoppage.. simple and non-offensive. The flavor was along the same lines.. toasty caramel again with some drier cardboardey notes.. light fruity bitterness.. meh. Light-bodied and somewhat tacky on the palate.. on the drier end end a lingering finish that I didn’t much care for. tytoanderso (1256), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA Feb 7, 2008 Updated: Feb 8, 200812oz bottle sample from my distributor. Toasted malt, browned biscuits and light grassy hops on the nose. Pours bright clear copper with a thin white head. Sweeter toasted malt, some grass and hay on the tongue. Slightly watery with mild hoppy finish. JPDIPSO (4397), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Jan 30, 2008 Updated: Feb 22, 2008Update: A note for the brewery President included this..."The product sold to the Brennens Market in WI was the first batch made and became a test brew. It has much less malt and could be akin to a lighter version the Stagecoach Amber. The beer the folks are trying in MN is the second batch and is very close to the draft version made in Mantorville." I’ll be sure to rerate should the new version make it my way!

Bottle. Dark amber color with a moderate light beige head. First sniff smells just like peanut butter, some salty malt and caramel also in the mix. Now I want a salted nut roll. Acetic acid flavors take over and my stomach takes a mild twist. Each sip I have a mild reverse regurgitation going on. The acidic parts are far to high and my tongue feels like it is drying out or being eaten away. A light return of malt in the linger, but I’m still a bit queasy. Seems like there may be a touch of infection in this bottle.
