Thick creamy head. Coffee roast aroma. Black slightly fruity and rich on the palate with a crisp and bitter coffee roast finish. duff (5407), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England May 29, 2007 Cask@London Drinker 07. Quite a dry stout, with dry roasted malt and licorcie notes. Finish is dry and bitter, with some green apple notes, which probably indicate that this was not as fresh as it should have been. Gravicask @ London Drinker. Have a feeling this is the same as their Port Stout, without the port, I’ll check with Mr. Marble next time I see him. Almost black with a tan head. Typical roasted malt chocolate stout. Nice bitter hop finish for some balance. Enjoyable. harrisoni (5605), Ashford, Kent, England Apr 13, 2007 Cask gravity London Drinker BF 07. Very dark brown colour with bubbly beige head. Decent peppery hop on aroma. Nice and drinkable in mouth, bit roasty and toasty, hoppy on finish. Very dry malt. chriso (4434), London, Greater London, England Mar 29, 2007 Cask (gravity dispense) at London Drinker Beer Festival 2007. On the beer list simply as Marble Stout but I can’t find any other reference to this beer. On the other hand, I can’t see any other marble beer that it would correspond to, so I guess it’s a new beer. Very dark, and distinctly dry. Roast malt throughout, with a touch of bitter chocolate in the flavour. Light, dry mouthfeel. Decent, but seemed a touch underpowered.
