Dark blond with thin lacy head. Average tasting blond beer with a bit of spiciness on the tongue. Nothing special.

330mL bottle from Willis Metro New World. Pours deep slight cloudy golden, with rocky off white head. Sweet caramel malt aroma, with strong coriander notes and citrus undertones. Flavour is initially sweet, possibly a bit too sweet. Caramel like malt, allows some herbs and slight spice in. Hops are there but not enough to offset the sweetness. Finish is weak, slightly dry. This one tasted better from the tap at D4, this bottle was just a bit sweet.

Lightly hazed dark golden to amber color. Tall light beige head. Some pale malts, floral hops light fruit and a touch of spice. Nothing overly exciting, just enjoyable. Light and quite well carbonated. Light pale malt start that leads to some lightly toasted to Special B malts. Perhaps a bit of candi as well. Seems to thin out in flavor in the finish and linger. Any richness is gone. I’m left with a floral bitterness and nothing else to cling to.

Bottle. Pours a clear red amber, nice head. Nose is slight sweet- not too distinct. Flavor is very nice- slightly sweet but more hoppy, well carbonated and a bit dry. My favorite Maredsous? Medium mouthfeel

Bottle. nice enough blond beer. Tastes ’stronger’ than one’d expect, when related to the promillage.

Had on tap at D4 Barmaid was extraordinairily unhelpful, obviously i’m one of ’those people’ that actually detracts from her beauty and presence by asking her about the beer, price etc....i was passed off to someone else. Pours a toffee gold with a pillowy head bready nose, possibly honeybread yeast. I was a bit surprised by this, all i really wanted was a hoppy IPA because i’m about to venture into the world of 10% dark beers on a sunny summers afternoon and i need fortifying! This was dry and hoppy in the finish so i was quite pleased with it!

From bottle at Bar Music Hall, Shoreditch. Clear amber with a medium head. Spicy and somewhat fruity character, good dryness towards the finish. An OK blond that needs that little extra to shine.

Pours clear copper colour with a small head. Taste has some bready malts with hops giving flowery and citrusy notes. Also notes of yeast and spices. Light and crisp mouthfeel. Nice, well-drinkable ale.
