Light orange colored, mildly cloudy appearance. Medium sized yellow head. Spices are strong with orange and fruits in aroma, yeast also in this nice aroma. Medium bodied, crispy palate. Flavor is surprisingly sweet with some sugary tone, also spices and good basic Belgian yeast can be found. Aftertaste is good combination of sweet fruits and drying hops.

Reddish-orange with a small but firm head, an almost banana-fruity aroma with a definite yeast follow through. An initial fruity bite and the alcohol is very well disguised with a very mellow finish, enjoyable to the end.

Bottle 0.33 l. Pours with a huge lasting head, as usual for bottle conditioned. Yeasty looks. Nose is absolutely beautiful. Vanilla, peach, lemon, toffee, white chocolate. Flavor has sweetness, fruits, some yeastiness, but there is some underlying acidiness that leaves a bit pukey aftertaste. I can’t say this is my favourite style anyway. Re-rate (original 8:3:6:3:9=2.9): 0.75 l bottle. Taste may have developed as the acidity didn’t bother anymore and found this to be fairly spicy and flavorful for it’s ABV. Somewhat wheaty with some marzipan. Nice mouthfeel. Good.

A Mes rate: Draught at Lowlander. Amazed this has not been done before. One of those that has slipped under the radar. Still have quite a soft spot for this as it was one of the beers that turned me on to a more discerning approach to my drinking. Nothing particularly stunning about it however. Amber gold colour with a slight haze. Caramel and some nice grassy hops with a sweet peachy note. Dry and clean in the mouth. Very drinkable if a little dull.

Bottle at Københavnske Øldage. Hazy, orange beer with an off-white head. Weak but balanced nose, sweet and fruity. Aroma is much the same, but spiced as well. Medium to full body, a bit dry. Some hops in the finish. Delicious, refreshing when cold, but maybe a bit boring. Definately not bad though. (070512)
