Golden amber color, thick frothy off-white head. Fruity, yeasty aroma, some light spiciness. Flavors of fresh apples, pears, yeast, sweet malts, spices (coriander, nutmeg), and bitter hops. Initally sticky and slightly syrupy mouthfeel, but gives way to a dry, hoppy, somewhat bitter finish. Pretty good stuff.

Blonde - amber coloured beer with a nice head. The taste is slightly bitter, with some sourness from the carbonation. A sweet and fruity aroma. (Bottle 33cl)

Pretty bland stuff, have to be honest. Amazed it still dwells the 3.3 for average. I’d say this is jst plain ’average’. A few months old me rating, but I’m still sharp. Into a stumpy chalice at just on cool. Hazy, deep, orangey gold with phlegmish globules of yeast (-or yeast infection!?) floating and sinking into its now ’ugh’ depths. head formed and produced well, a rocky crown an inch thick that held and laced well. Overly yeasty aroma - this smelt of a bakery at around 4AM - the only life lies in a good burst of crushed ripe oranges that tickle the nostrils. O.K., not as sharp as I thought. How about I just list my notes. Something like this:- Slightly plastic, thin, light flavours, bready, harsh in aft, raspy bitterness on edge, citrus (marmalade). Just a touch too sweet, lacks balance, golden syrup (treacle)-ish malt flavours, late vanilla. Finish is plastic, chemical. Soapy, and a touch filmy in length, alcohol shows despite strength. Nothing much here. Didn’t come together and the yeast left me needing a good ’up-chuck’ afterwards.
Those me notes, good enough!!! (33cL, BBE 06/07, The Beer Store, Morley)
