Flavour of fruits, hops and sourness. Still kind of (un)pleasantly sweet. This is one of the beers which are not crap, yet I don’t like it too much. HArd to say if it’s very good or bad. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jan 18, 2006 Slightly hazy golden colour with a massive white head. Aroma was sweet and yeasty. The taste was masked by the metallic tang of aggressive carbonation, but eventually emerged as a pleasant, sweet orangey confection with some fruity sourness to balance. trokini (1027), San Diego, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 17, 2006 Best head ever. Poured clear gold with a thick, frothy white head. Aroma of yeast, candy sugar, and spice. Taste was very understated. Typical Belgian-sweet, with a nice malty back. Lubiere (4547), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 11, 2005 On tap at the Mardsous Abbey, April 2005. Golden ale with a white head, thick and froathy. Aroma of candy sugar, ornages and spices. A lighter variety than remembered, but with hops and light alcohol coming nicely, fresh and coriander coming out more with the Maredsous cheese tartinade. Memories! LaChad (1375), San Francisco, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 25, 2005 Updated: Dec 10, 2005Tap. Deep golden, big eggshell head - very handsome looking in proper glassware. Sour apple-peel aroma. Thin, slick mouthfeel. A bit of bubblegum, bananas, sweetness, somewhat yeasty. Lactic and undesirable finish. Doesn’t go well with crappy nachos. bridge (659), Sydney, Australia
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Nov 16, 2005 Murky amber with a light, temporary, airy head, and some floaties suspended as though in jelly. A very tasty aroma of sweet apples and rhubarb leads off, to be followed by the sweet, but well balanced flavour. However, there was just way too much carbonation, with the fizz attacking the mouth fiercely, and a bit of a metallic feel finishing the palate. Left it for a little while and let the fizz subside, which redeemed it somewhat, so after a good start it with a little patience it finished ok. Mockba (78), Denmark

Nice label.
