| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 21, 2005 Bottle (330ml). At The Abbey, Ottawa. Poured hazy orange-yellow with an average off-white lasting foamy head, nice lacing. Aroma much like a German weissbier, orange juice, ashy hops, yeast, plenty of malt - mild. Taste much as promised by the nose - malt, yeast, some ash-hop bitterness at the end. Mouthfeel very acidic and lively, noticeable alcohol for 6%. Overall a bit too bitter-harsh for me, the fruity citrus malt gets a bit overwhelmed; finishes oddly like apple juice as it warms up. CampbellWilson (533), Scotland

Light amber color, good foamy off-white head. Aroma is malty, slightly metallic and also has sweety yeasty notes. Medium-bodied, even liquerish palate. Starts carbonated, then malty backbone rides in with some sweetness. Slightly hoppy aftertaste. Simple beer but interesting enough.
