On tap at the Federal in Durham, NC. Attactive semi-cloudy yellow. Not cloudy like a Belgian White by any stretch though. Not much aroma, maybe malty. Good flavor with a little apricot and spice. Slight hop finish. It’s good in all categories but it’s not really a jaw dropping great beer.

Yellow; turbid beer. Tastes good; aroma not so great. Certainly better than a lager. Just a good abbey-beer.

Aroma: alcohol and stone fruit. Apperance: orange/brown slightly cloudy, small slightly offwhite head, sudsy lacing and floaty bits. Flavour: slightly sweet, fair bit of hop flavour/bitterness and some cidery notes. Palate: thinner than I would have expdected.

Plenty of head. Refreshing aroma with apricot, yeast and other tropical fruits. Slightly thin body. Fruity aftertaste.

Not much aroma to speak of. Slight sweet malt aroma. Cloudy yellow brown colour with decent head. Bitter malt floral flavour. Fizzy palate.

Bottled. Again too much yeast flocks swimming in this beer. This time I lagered it vertically for 2 weeks, poured it very carefully and left enough in the bottle. Well, that makes 1 point for appearance in my book. Chocolatey, fruity, spicy nose. Slightly chocolatey, spicy, fruity taste. A little sourness in the bitter finish. Okay.

Hazy orange colour with a big foamy white head. Malty and fruity nose with spices. Fruity flavor with an orange taste. Some spices in a dry finish.

Maybe it was that day or the temperature. But it seemed to be an ideal time to have this blond. Smooth, straightforward, satisfying creaminess and lots of lace. Lemon, pineapple and malt,
