On tap at Red Restaurant in Santa Cruz. Golden color with a nice white head. Aroma of bready malt, yeast, and spices. Flavor is sweet malt, spices, honey, yeast, and some floral hops on the finish. Palate is somewhat lively but more or less fits style expectations.

750 ml in Duvel glass. Clear gold with lasting flat head and lace. Mild spicy bready sweet aroma. Spicy sweet honey apricot with mild spicy dry finish. Slightly watery body. Decent and refreshing. Suspiciously similar to Duvel Green on draft.

Tap at Belgian Cafe. Pours a lightly hazy golden amber with a large foamy off white head. Aroma of floral and citrus hops, bready malt and Belgian yeast. Flavor of the same, well done.

Hazy gold beer with a large white head that soon fades to nothing, aroma is fruity and malty with a similar but tart taste.

This hazy golden ale poured with an active off-white head that soon bubbled away. There is a fruity malt aroma and a sweet fruity flavor with lots of spices, in fact a bit too much for me. This is an interesting refreshing brew, but not entirely pleasing.

Draft. Amber beer with a cream colored head. Spicy aroma with light malt and a light plasticy note. Spicey flavor with malt and light breadiness. Medium bodied. Malt and light breadiness lingers. Easy drinking.

Appearance: Hazy golden colour with a huge foam that left a ton of lacing. It actually leaves big chunks of foam on the side of the glas. Looks very appealing. Smell: Ripe fruit, sweet, yeast and nuts. Taste: Sweet but not so fruity, some nuts, spicy with some yeast and a slight alcoholic taste. However it’s pretty smooth and easy to drink. It feels very balanced but I would have preferred some more spicy taste to it.

Served in a beautiful, Maredsous logo stemware at a launch party at the Bavarian Lodge, Lisle, IL. Poured a clear, golden/amber, with a white head that diminished to a bubbly layer and a small ring of clingy lacing. The aroma was a little sweet, with notes of floral, fruit, and light spice. The flavor continued these and a light malt sweetness but also exposed some tartness. Medium bodied and good carbonation. Would have liked some finishing dryness, but didn’t sense any.
