beerguy101 (3861), Newark, California, USA Sep 20, 2009 Sampled during RBSG 7/11/2009 on tap at the brewery. This quad pours a dark brown color from tap. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and sweet with a touch of bourbon and wood. A medium bodied quad. The malts are fruity and sweet, with a touch of oak and perhaps a hint of funk. The hops are earthy. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Very sweet finish. I can’t really notice and Brett. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is sweet with some alcohol bite. larryLSB (140), La Selva Beach, California, USA Aug 13, 2009 On tap at the brewpub, RBSG 2009. Poured dark amber with minimal tan head, nose of vanilla, minimal hops. Dry to the taste, but sweet, with hints of bourbon. Overall good, AgentSteve (1334), SF Bay Area, California, USA Aug 10, 2009 Pours hazy reddish brown with a thin cream colored head. Nose and flavor are full with cherry, bourbon, vanilla and dried fruits. Very smooth and little sign of alcohol. SamGamgee (1396), Santa Cruz (La Selva), California, USA Jul 25, 2009 Had a couple 4-ounce samples of this at the brewpub during RBSG09. Very interesting and tasty stuff, and a standout of the day. Dark red-brown color with a beige head. The aroma is sweet and fruity with funky brett, caramel, spices, bourbon, wood, and dried fruit. The flavor is rich and sweet with light funk, caramel, bourbon, and dried fruit. Just a wonderful mash-up of a ton of aromas and flavors. kp (8400), Woodstock, Georgia, USA Jul 19, 2009

JohnC (2230), Mission Viejo, California, USA Jul 13, 2009 On tap at the Marin brewpub for RBSG 2009, this beer is a solid winner. The dark fruit flavors of the quad play magnificently with the oak/vanilla notes of the bourbon barrel. Extremely well crafted and tasty, I wish I could get it in a bottle. illidurit (851), Santa Cruz, California, USA Jul 13, 2009 RBSG09 ’06 vintage on tap at the brewpub. Pours ruddy dark brown with a light beige head. Aroma is inexplicably berry-dominated. Blueberries, strawberries, cherries. Slight nail polish perfuminess. Flavor evokes berry pie filling with a rich vanilla note and some yeasty bread. Dry warming finish. Body is medium, lending it a nice drinkability. Absolutely delicious, completely unexpected.
