pours clear golden, white head.
Aroma is loaded with blueberries, followed by some citrus.
Flavor, blueberries, grainy. Overall palate is not bad and far from other beers that try to use blueberries. The beer keeps the distinct blueberry profile that usually give sit a distinct mouthfeel. Just not a big fan of the flavored side, try using real fruits. Cletus (5001), Connecticut, USA Sep 26, 2009 Bomber courtesy of wavers1. Pours a hazy opaque amber with a white head. Smells of blueberries, buttery, grassy, some citrus. Tastes of blueberies, some spicy hints, earthy. Decent. Papsoe (14642), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 10, 2009 Bottle 65 cl. Slightly hazy yellow with a white head. Distinct blueberry aroma. Medium body with very sweet and intense - and somewhat perfumy - blueberry notes. No bitterness in the finish, but perhaps a whiff of sulphur. But fresh alright. 100709 stchloe (473), Portland, Oregon, USA Jul 31, 2009 They say this is a fruit beer, but any ale just overpowers what otherwise is subtle blueberry flavor. Only comes out in the finish. ghawener (952), San Salvador, El Salvador Jul 28, 2009 Bottle: Light bodied, fruit flavors are well hippen, more like a Pale Ale. I´ll have to try the Black and Blue to see if I can rate it higher. Food Pairing: Light dessert, fruits, and pastry. iowaherkeye (1832), Bakersfield, California, USA Jul 27, 2009 22oz bottle, bought because Terry (wavers1) told me that it was good. Clear golden with a one finger creamy white head, fair retention. Aroma of ripe blueberries with little tartness and a fair amount of sweetness--not really getting anything else. The flavor adds some more acidic blueberries with some light sweet blueberries, and again, nothing else. The finish is semi-dry with bitterness around a 2, light wheat/grain notes. Light body with light carbonation--actually I’m surprised that this is 5%. Not as bad as I figured it’d be. You’re not completely right Terry! yespr (11645), Copenhagen O, Denmark Jul 27, 2009 22 fl oz bottle. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is mild citric blueberry, light wheaty too. Dry and wheaty flavoured. Mild citric to vague acidic flavour of blueberry. Citric and wheaty finish with a persisting blueberry finish. marcus (1821), Sacramento, California, USA May 30, 2009 At Sudwerk Beerfest 2009. This yellowish white beer poured with a short white head and a fruity aroma. There is a carbonated fruit and wheat flavor that is thin but tasty.
