Blueberry is very strong in the aroma and flavor, its really a nice fruit for beer, I just wish more people used it as more of a subtle fruit in stouts. In the lighter beers it just kinda overwhelms. This was still a nice brew though, the blueberry adds a light sweetness up front balanced by a light citrus hop finish. greenhorn1 (462), Mission Viejo, California, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 19, 2006 22 oz bottle. Pours a clear orange, no head, no lacing. The bottle states that artificial color is added, so I was expecting a blue or a dark purple hue, not orange. The aroma is sweet with hints of citrus, vanilla, and blueberry. The taste is not to sweet and no bitterness and there is a light blueberry taste. Not a bad beer, but definitely something missing. Saarlander (1588), Rancho Cucamonga, California, USA

| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 30, 2006 Bottle. Pours a very cloudy & transparent yellowy color. Aroma is very yeasty, with a moderate amount of blueberry. The taste is basically yeasty water and a trace amount of blueberry on the back end. A little more blueberry comes through as the beer breaths, but still not much to speak off. GG (1678), NorCal, California, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 22, 2006 This beer really, really suprised me. I had have a few Marin Brew products and have always thought highly of them. I tried today the Raspberry ale and I really wasn’t impress with it at all, so I had some trepidation with trying this. Quite simply, this is one of the easiest to drink fruit beers I’ve ever had. The aroma of this beer is straight out of the cereal box that has the dehydrated blueberries in it. Blueberries, blueberries and more blueberries. Appearance is VERY light in color, almost a yellow-golden hue. This beer pours a HUGE head so be careful. Mouthfeel was lively and carbonated. Flavor was blueberry, but in a way that didn’t smack you upside the head. Very well done, so I guess my vote goes for the blueberry ale as my favorite from their two. grant (792), Colorado Springs, CO, Colorado, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 2, 2006 Hazy yellow with hints of orange. Not sure what the "artificial color" is here? Definitely lots of blueberry in the aroma - it smells like fully ripened - maybe overripe - and sweetened ones, rather than newer, more tart ones. Very slight maltiness (honey) along with a smattering of wheatiness. Flavor starts out sweet, explodes with some blueberry about 1/3 of the way through, meets an odd juxtaposition with some lime, and then quickly dries out and becomes stemmy. Leaves a trace of dough in the mouth. Pretty good, really. A bit too sweet for my tastes, but it’s done pretty well.
