Aroma of hops and citrus. Nice hop kick to start with some citrus and pine in the finish. Crisp and refreshing. mreusch (743), Olathe, Kansas, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Sep 18, 2007 Bomber, courtesy of AgentSteve (Thanks Steve!). Pours a clear copper with a pillowy two finger tan head; good retention and great lacing. Aroma is a nose full of grapefruit, with some background additional citrus and light pine. Flavor is a nice hoppy bite, but it seems to disappear quite abruptly. A touch of caramel maltiness on the finish, but overall a bit disappointing in the flavor. Palate is medium-high carbonation with an oily mouthfeel. Kind of a split between aroma/appearance and flavor/palate on this one. Overall a decent DIPA but not stellar... A beautiful looking beer. Aroma is hoppy with some pine and a little caramel. Flavor is full of hops and not as piney. Very well balanced by caramel malt. It has a bitter finish that lingures. Good beer. kp (8500), Woodstock, Georgia, USA

Huge hop explosion - but well defined, not just a random flavor. Marin is #1. I had to buy a couple of case at the brewpub last time I saw it. have not seen it in a while now.
